What is Making Space?
Making Space is a grassroots community organization dedicated to enhancing wellness and support by expanding access to community-based healing. We focus on breaking down barriers for underserved populations, rebuilding the village, and helping people heal, grow, and thrive together. Healing rarely fits into neat boxes, so we welcome you exactly as you are—whether you’re grieving, awakening, growing, or stepping into a new truth. All offerings are peer-led and available on a donation or sliding scale, creating space for all beings, by all beings.
Making Space will formally obtain nonprofit status in June 2026, further strengthening our mission and expanding our reach.
The Making Space Method
Our signature group model combines the best of peer support, spiritual retreat, and deep emotional presence. Whether you’re grieving, searching for purpose, or simply needing space to be your truest self, this non-clinical process invites you to be seen, felt, and transformed.

The Story Behind Making Space
Our Roots:
Making Space began as a response to grief, loss, and the search for connection. Born from lived experience and years of exploring healing practices—grief groups, meditation, yoga, retreats, breathwork, and community service—it has grown into a space where people can come exactly as they are.
We believe healing happens together. Through accessible, non-clinical programs, Making Space offers community-based support for grief, transformation, and personal growth. Here, emotions are met with compassion, stories are honored, and no one has to navigate change alone.
Our Founder:
Making Space was founded by Dylan Pritchett, whose personal journey through loss inspired a commitment to building spaces of care and connection. With a background in corporate training and development, volunteer service in hospice and community organizations, and a decade of exploring global healing traditions, Dylan brings both professional expertise and lived empathy to the heart of Making Space.
